We know that you show your pfeil tool the same respect, which we give to every individual tool in production. Lots of craftsmanship, care, our high requirements in development and production and several quality checks during the entire manufacturing process form the basis of our quality and guarantee promise.
Ecological and ergonomic
The environment and our living space are important to us. Precious resources like water, air and energy are used sparingly and as efficiently as possible in our manufacturing. We deliberately use native woods to produce the tool handles. They are treated with solvent-free, vegetable oil; this means for example that the octagonal handles made of ash sit firmly and securely in your hands.
The name pfeil – the brand logo printed on every tool, which leaves our workshop after testing – tells you: You are holding a piece of original Swiss high quality workmanship in your hands.
Respect, care and longevity
Carving tools should be handled with care. They should be stored in roll-up cases, wooden boxes or wall-mounted tool racks. The tools should not be allowed to fall on the floor or impact one another. This will avoid mistakes when cutting and also injuries. In order to prevent corrosion (rust etc.), the tools must be stored in a dry room. For longer periods of storage, it is recommended that the tool blades are protected with a thin coat of light oil.
Specially manufactured steel
We forge all pfeil tools from steel that is manufactured especially for us – because the existing standards are not sufficient for us. This special steel guarantees excellent elasticity and the best edge retention with extreme hardness. Tools made by pfeil have been sharpened and ground off so they are ready for use – razor-sharp.
